"Care provided to all patients"

About: Ayrshire Hospice

(as a relative),

After a long 18 month of my Brother James being diagnosed with Cancer he had came to the end of his journey and with all our hearts broken he could not fight any longer, he was 53 when he sadly passed away in the care of the Ayrshire Hospice.

My Mum and dad and brother could never express how grateful we were to all the staff in the Hospice especially Sandra for the excellent care and the dignity that was shown to my brother was by far the best we could have asked for, My mum and dad had the comfort of knowing that he was in no more pain and was being treated with dignity and respect by all staff and was made so comfortable in his final days, May I also say that me and my brother had the comfort of knowing that while my mum and dad stayed by my brothers bed side that all staff were there to support them at this difficult time for them.

I know at this time with the COVID-19 it is very difficult for everyone and with myself and brother only being allowed in for a brief bit to say our goodbyes and to be allowed to the window, we had the comfort knowing the staff were there to also support our Mum and dad, We as a family can not thank all at Ayrshire Hospice enough for the excellent care that my brother received but also for all the work that they provide all patients.

Dear Libbyslider72,

I am so sorry to hear about the death of your brother. Please accept my sincere condolences. It must be a very sad time for all of you.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave comments about the care that we provided for your brother James, for you and for your family. It sounds as if he had a difficult journey with his illness and I hope that our care eased this a little.

Covid has changed everyone lives and although you were able to say your goodbyes, I am sorry that restrictions prevented you from being with James as much as you would have liked.

Please let you Mum and Dad know that we send ours regards and our thoughts to them.

Your feedback means so much to us. It helps to to continuously improve the services that we provide,

Thank you once again,

Kindest regards,

Margaret
