"operation success"

About: Fitzwilliam Hospital

I had a full hip replacement on Saturday 10th October 2020 and so far there are no complications and do not expect any. Operation went smoothly I had a spinal anesthetic which I haven't had before. The anesthetist fully explained the procedure was supportive, calm and reassuring. The consultant surgeon was efficient friendly and friendly. I had research him before making my final choice and I have absolutely no complaints so far. The recovery room staff were efficient and friendly. I was in room 34 and all staff who engaged with me extremely helpful and nothing as too much trouble. he catering was beyond my expectations and again nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Physio were patient but firm and although I was expecting to stay for 5 days due to the condition of my other I was able to leave after 4 days. The discharge process went smoothly and fully explained the following steps and the meds the 2 nurses who took me to the car made sure I was comfortable and safe.

The only complaint I have is that the toilet seat I was given to bring home is not efficient and I have to purchase a more suitable one that fits the toilet more securely as I have 2 toilets. Luckily I had already purchased 1 it is a savannah model and far more efficient.
