"Ultrasound experience "

About: East Surrey Hospital

So sad to be leaving this review during what is meant to be the most exciting time of my life, but I have not experienced a good service with my recent ultrasound, I was treated very poorly and spoken too very badly. I reported this and PALS were very helpful but the ultrasound department manager called me and made me feel as though I should expect this treatment as it’s “protocol” and that I wasn’t going to get more than an apology for “feeling this way” not for the treatment. The lady who did my ultrasound was rude, she called my child “naughty” because it wasn’t faving the right way yet I offered to move and she bluntly told me no. The photos we received and had to pay for were blurry and very poor, I couldn’t even make out the pictures and I was there. I understand they have to do a job and it’s stressful but I don’t think being treated like you are a number not a mother and father is awful. We advised her of the issues we had had with our baby, we almost lost our baby less than a month ago and yet she still treated us so badly. We plan to change to another hospital which is very sad and inconvenient for us but we do not fee anyone should feel this hurt and upset by a department in hospital.

Their receptionist is a new kind of awful too. She is so rude and obnoxious, never smiles, isn’t pleasant, rolls her eyes when you ask her something and is just unbelievable. The department clearly are unhappy and treat people badly because of it which is unacceptable.
