About: University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

Went in today to A and E and from the receptionist, triage nurse, Dr and consultant I saw - every one of them was friendly, caring and quite honestly superb. 

Our Drs and Nurses do an incredible job under, often, very difficult circumstances. 

 A huge thank you to the Dr and Consultant in A and E tonight. can not recall blonde female Dr name but consultant I think was Kate. She had to use an ultrasound just to find my vein for canula for cat scan, I was in my own and concerned and both she and the Dr were completely skilful in what they were doing. Thank you for what you did and what you do every day.

Thank you for passing this on to the team. I know,

as a person that works in education, how much professionals put in to their ‘work’ and how quick people can be to criticise when this go awry - as they can do, since we are human. It is important to recognise when things go well - because these Drs and Nurses our so much of themselves into their profession / vocation. The consultant told me ‘ I won’t sleep tonight until I have checked this with you’ - shoes her character.

I saw various interactions with staff and patients/ the public and honestly (at times very challenging individuals), the staff at Wishaw were amazing. I take my hat off to our NHS staff!
