"Colonoscopy to check for cancer"

About: Musgrove Park Hospital / Colorectal surgery

(as the patient),

I was referred by my GP on a 2 week wait service and and actually got my appointment within just 3 weeks.

The preliminary communications were all very good

The required COVID 19 test was fine except the place was rather hard to find

The bowel preparation was horrid but obviously necesssary

On attending Musgrove on the day, the care before during and after the proceedure was excellent

Thank you for sharing your experience with us, we are pleased that it worked smoothly for you. I will pass on your feedback to endoscopy and we will look into the directions which are given for the COVID testing centre.
