I was taken to hospital whilst on holiday in Dumfries and Galloway with an unknown severe allergic reaction.
From the very outset of being brought onto the ward I felt safe, reassured and truly comfortable in the knowledge that the CAU nurses and the rest of the ward staff were going to look after me. I had never been to hospital before so at 22, and during COVID circumstance, it was quite daunting. However, I was met first by Angie who could not have been a kinder face and person to be brought in by. As I was en route home from my holiday and this was a totally unplanned hospital admission Angie assured me that I should be seen by a doctor in 2-4 hours. My stats, ECG and bloods were taken straight away, and I really felt the staff made every effort to get me seen as soon as possible which given current circumstance was more than extraordinary.
I would just like to say the biggest thank you to the staff on the ward that day and sing their praises as they really are incredible at their job.
Thank you very much,
ACC.
