"The death of my husband"

About: Six Degrees Social Enterprise (CIC) / Greater Manchester Bereavement Service

(as a service user),

My husband died in May 2020, due to COVID-19 I was unable to be with him during this very difficult time. I had 10 days of hell not really knowing how he was. I contacted the bereavement centre where a support worker helped me so much by being there for me. She is such a caring and understanding person. I know that I can contact her anytime I may need to either by phone or email.

I have spoken with my support worker several times, I did tell her today that I will try and deal with my grief, she sent me a booklet from mind regarding dealing with grief which I also found extremely helpful.

Thank you so much for being there for me, it isn’t always easy speaking with family as they are also grieving knowing that my support worker is there for me makes a huge difference.
