"Suffering flank pain"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

I was in agony with stomach pain I went to hospital they treated me well but gave me an X-ray on my chest I asked why they were giving me a chest X-ray when my pain wasn’t in my chest they said to rule out infection. They weren't being honest - it was to check for COVID19! I wasn’t given a scan on my stomach and now I’m struggling to get back for a scan because I do not drive, I have no family and patient transport won’t take me due to COVID19! So I’m not happy about the care given to be honest

Clearly we need to resolve this for you and would ask that you contact our PALS team via pals@ulh.nhs.uk or 01522 707071. The team will be able to take more details from you and make contact with the team in A&E. They will also be able to assist you with the issues on gaining another scan.
