"Disappointed with healthcare practitioner"

About: Milton Keynes Hospital

Have knee problems for several years affecting my mobility so referred to this hospital. No introduction was given by the consulting doctor, asked me why I was there, gave impression that he couldn't be bothered and made me feel like my visit was unnecessary. Offered knee arthroscopy even though I have already had this procedure 5 years ago and did not last longer that 1 year before pain resumed. Stated that the operation may not relieve the pain. At the time of the last operation it was noted that I already had arthritis in the knee . Feel like I was being advised that I may have to live on pain relief which should not be an option when it is becoming prevalent for people to become addicted to pain drugs. Other people who are much more mobile than me, are being offered knee or half knee replacements to provide them with good quality of life. Feel like my quality of life is not important to this consultant. Seems like treatment offering is a lottery depending on who you get to see and how much money that have to spend.
