"Life saving care"

About: Borders General Hospital / Intensive & Critical Care Scottish Ambulance Service

(as the patient),

Suffered serious seizures that necessitated induced coma and ventilator. I have no doubt that BGH and paramedics saved me from probable life threatening outcome. Superb, professional, caring service by all involved in my recovery. ICU, Ward 5 staff were exceptional. Medical and ancillary staff were totally dedicated and discharge and follow up procedure was faultless. So very grateful.

Dear pegasuseq35,

Thank you for sharing your feedback here on Care Opinion. I am so sorry to read about your seizures and subsequent coma. That sounds terrifying. It is great that you are now discharged! Having gone through what I can only imagine would be a truly horrific experience, it is lovely that you have seen a real positive in it and have kindly taken the time to provide these lovely comments.

I am sure that the crew who attended you would love to hear that you are out and feeling positive and I would be more than happy to pass this along to their management team. In order for this to happen I would need the date, time and address that the ambulance attended you along with your name. You can email this to scotamb.feedback@nhs.net. (I would also be really grateful if you could make reference to your care opinion username so if another member of the team pick it up they can easily link your email to this post).

I wish you all the very best in your recovery and thanks again!

Alan
