"Induction of labour"

About: Aberdeen Maternity Hospital / Obstetrics (Maternity care)

(as a service user),

I was admitted to labour ward for my labour to be induced one day mid September. We were met by our midwife Emily who was immediately very welcoming and friendly. Everything was explained and before I knew it I was all set up on the infusion and offered pain relief.

The whole team couldn’t have been more lovely and supportive. It wasn’t the most straight forward birth of our little girl but both my husband and I had total faith in the people looking after us and felt very safe and supported. I’d to thank everyone working on labour ward mid September. I didn’t get everyone’s names but a special thanks to our midwives Emily and Christina and the two students who also looked after us Emma and Remy. Couldn’t have done it without you! Thanks as well to all the theatre staff, two surgeons and the anaesthetist on the night shift. Also the recovery staff! Can’t thank you all enough!

Dear BCH 89,

Firstly let me congratulate you on the birth of your daughter and thank you for taking the time to get in touch to provide such positive feedback.

It is lovely to hear that you felt supported and well informed from start to finish, I will be sharing this with the teams who will be delighted.

Many Thanks

Liz
