The level of care my Brother David received from the first scans to emergency surgery for Glioblastoma was so sublime / so heartfelt to now almost a month later when my Brother died last night 25th Sept. 2020.His Journey started Neurology to ICU 3 times before and after surgery. The highest level of care was seen and felt at all stages and reached out to me who stayed beside him throughout.I developed adema/swelling in my legs/feet from inactivity given my 23 day vigil. In A&E the morning of my Brother's passing i had bloods taken for testing
and given a pager so i could go back to my Brother. The care i received was equally so heartfelt. My Brother was only moved to the stroke unit on Floor 9 less than 2 hours before he died.Once they learned of my legs/feet which was done so diligently the nurses had my feet soaking and prepared a bed for me to stay with my Brother. Before i could experience the comfort of the bed and the further warmth of their compassion my Brother died while i was brushing my teeth.Only having known these nurse's a short time i will never forget their love, professionalism and care. The Consultants and support staff all equally brilliant.
I will follow up from this to lavish 11 north,10 north,9 south & ICU and the staff of Costa whom i visited briefly daily with a hand written card.To all of the staff of Charing Cross Hospital i wish to thank all most sincerely from my heart and be safe, well and happy always.
