"Left in limbo not knowing who I’ll be seeing"

About: University Hospital Aintree / Urology

(as a service user),

Had after waiting 5 months surgery for what were thought to be kidney stones all the way up left renal tract, then got the results 5 months later after gp requested results because they hadn’t been sent to him and I had an Occ Health appointment so I had to contact gp.

Then consultant had the audacity to thank the gp for requesting results when consultant replied with totally different analysis but only to what they thought they might be.

I thought the Nursing care toward elderly was terrible and I saw HCA taking blood. The nurse seemed to find it amusing that they missed a vein and I yelped because they hurt me. How would they feel if they’d had 12 operations in a short space of time many years ago and 3 bout of meningitis?

Now I’m left in limbo not knowing who I’ll be seeing. Hospital have just passed me from person to person and I've gotten nowhere, or they take no responsibility and dump it on my gp. I’m not renal Care one day and urology the next.

The other urologist there is very good all I wanted was to know who is looking after me but hoping it will be urologist who looks after my renal care and urology esp the stoma. Even the occupational health physicians understand what a urostomy is how it works and the difference not having a bladder makes. You do the work and refer me back to previous urologist. I thought seeing less specialists would improve my seizure control. Although I prefer previous consultant. Don't use corona virus pandemic as an excuse. This is making time for surgeons as they cannot operate. Communication appalling.
