"Wonderful Staff"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Neurosurgery (Ward 64 – 66)

(as the patient),

For the last 3 days I’ve been attending the neurology department at the QEUH in Glasgow. I’ve had a CT Scan, Bloods and a couple of Biopsies. Every single member of staff I’ve met has been simply wonderful, so kind and friendly and welcoming. I’ve been really anxious with getting so many different tests and as someone who doesn’t like needles or blood, it’s not been easy. But the staff just made me feel so safe and at ease, and kept me smiling and laughing the whole time. Covid-19 has been a challenging time for all, so to see such a strong and well-bonded team has been truly heartwarming. All the staff I met have gone above and beyond, but the two best staff were Giovanni (consultant) and Grace (a nurse). They made me so happy and kept my nerves at bay! True credits to the NHS.

Dear a-niven-gla,

Thank you very much for taking the time to send this kind feedback about your recent experience of our Neurology Service.

It must have been a worrying time for you to attend and with the added challenge of Covid-19. It was therefore very reassuring for me to hear that the neurology staff had been able to alleviate your fears and make you feel safe and cared for.

I will share your feedback with the team who I know will be grateful to receive this. Thanks again for sharing this post.

Kind regards

Elaine Burt
