"Staff were so friendly and caring."

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Day Surgery

(as the patient),

I was recently scheduled to have my gallbladder removed. I was very apprehensive about going into hospital as I had never been in hospital other than have my children.

The 2 weeks leading up to going in I had to self isolate that put more pressure on me as I could not see my family. The minute I went into the ward I relaxed completely the staff were so friendly and caring especially the staff nurse in charge that day her name was Jen she was so helpful explaining all to me. I cannot forget the surgical staff who attended me who were so cheerful and asking about me and what I would be doing instead of having surgery which totally calmed me also explaining every step of the procedure.   Afterwards the staff were wonderful helping to recover. I was able to get home that evening.

Cannot thank the staff at the Day Surgery Unit Queen Margaret Hospital Dunfermline.

Dear Shawley

Thank you for taking the time to post feedback regarding your recent admission to day surgery, coming into hospital can be apprehensive and particularly with the extra measures in place, I am glad to see that you were made to feel at ease and that you were well looked after during your stay. I will share your kind comments with Jen and the team who will appreciate them very much. I wish you well in your recovery.

Kind Regards

Nola
