Thankyou bravoht68 for taking the time to post your story about the treatment you received in the Day Clinical Centre (DCC). I have found it very valuable sharing your experience with all the staff members who, I am proud to say, you describe as "attentive and courteous". Such qualities as you have kindly highlighted are just as important to us in the DCC as your safety and the treatment you receive.

We have been encouraged by your feedback about our ability to adhere to the social distancing measures which our patients should expect and do receive in our new but rather sudden relocation to South Tyrone Hospital in March as the Pandemic came crashing into our lives.

I am very sorry to hear that you have such a journey from South Down to Dungannon and would like to say how grateful we are for your coming so far to continue with your essential treatment during this pandemic. I realise travelling to Dungannon for some patients instead of Craigavon of Daisy Hill hospitals has been quite burdensome while for others it has been a unexpected pleasant change to have a shorter distance to now travel for those who live in the South Tyrone district- it is difficult to provide a location that suits all our patients in the Southern Trust which covers a wide often rural catchment area but yours seems undeniably longer than most and I am glad you have had the opportunity to raise this with us so we perhaps look for easier access to your treatment going forward.

Nonetheless, I do hope that your experience with us during these trying times has been more positive on the whole and I wholeheartedly thankyou for taking the time to share your opinions with us.
