"Happy Patient & Family"

My di who is 84 years was Pre-Assessed by Jackie the Senior Charge Nurse at the Victoria Hospital. He had been diagnosed with cancer and was due to have an operation. He has vascular dementia and the last time he had an operation it did not go smoothly which left my di and the family very distressed. 

Fortunately this time, my di was extremely lucky to be under the care of Jackie at Pre-Assessment. She fully assessed him and put plans into place which allowed me to be with him before and after his surgery. Jackie was compassionate, caring and kept the family informed. He went into hospital following his Pre-Assessment and had a successful operation and got discharged that night with no complications. My family and I cannot thank you enough for the time you spent putting plans into place to ensure that his journey was as smooth as possible. 

Further operations are required and we all feel very reassured for his next trip to hospital after such amazing care. Thank you so much, you will never understand the difference you made to my di's day in hospital. We are all extremely grateful.
