Brilliant and speedy care in A&E after I walked in with breathlessness and dizziness..
Within 70 minutes I had been assessed, given a chest x-ray and on a bed in the CCU Ward. Great care and fantastic staff, that I thought I might reward with an ode..
They seemed so nice, kind and caring;
Small talk, chatter, my health repairing.
What lay beneath, though, I soon learned;
A dark side shone; and evil burned.
The Tayside equals to Burke & Hare;
One to stab; one just to stare.
Searching out my blood, my "essence"!
Denying me my convalescence!.
The dark-haired one; mad-eyed just stabbing,
Needle poised, scratching, jabbing,
To get a phial of my bloody juice..
As hard she tried... no blinking use!!
"I don't need light, I'll feel my way"
Refusing help, my blood to spray.
The blonde stood silent. Her turn awaited;
'till my forearm lay there: desecrated!
"Oh, Blast! Why don't you have a try?
You can come; detoxify."
In seconds, the chilling duo fled.
Leaving me to my red, bled, bed!
So another entered, sharp prepared;
Failed as well, so then declared,
"It's nearly eight, this is silly!
I'm now off duty. I'll leave to Willy!"
In came Willy, to cure their wrongs:
To put my blood where it belongs;
And repair the damage these three made thrive...
TRIP ADVISOR STAR SCORE.... FIVE!!
Just a tongue-in-cheek ode on attempts to take my bloods...
Your staff are a credit to their profession and with a sense of humour that put patients at their ease. Thank you.
"Walk-in to A&E and subsequent care in CCU.."
