"Minor operation"

About: Outpatients Centre / Dermatology

(as the patient),

I had an appointment with the dermatology clinic to get some moles checked out. The doctor was very attentive and took into consideration my concerns. She immediately suggested they take a sample to be looked at the lab. Within 10 minutes I was in the operation room where David and Gillian did the small procedure. I immediately let them know that, in the past, I've had fainting episodes due to my fear of needles. They knew exactly what to do to make me feel at ease. Within 30 minutes the procedure was done and I felt very well looked after by the doctors. I am so grateful for their care and attention especially in these difficult times.

Dear Natis,

Thank you for taking the time to let Gillian and I know how your visit went.

A fear of needles is not uncommon and, between the two of us, we have had plenty of practice in distracting the terrified individual from the procedure taking place. The imagination can be a terrible thing.

We really appreciate the warning though:)

I hope everything is healing as we planned and that you weren't too uncomfortable afterwards.

Thanks again

David
