My operation to remove a cancerous neuroendocrine tumour was in June of this year at Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
The staff at the hospital were amazing and I was well looked after during an uncertain time due to the COVID restrictions. I was not allowed any visitors but all the staff were super at easing this by regular check ins and making me feel comfortable. The high dependency staff were super! Thank you.
I was under the care of Ms Quinn (surgeon). She is another level of amazing. From day one she has been open and honest about what I faced and the possible risk factors. I loved her straight talking and real answers to my questions before the surgery. I knew she cared and wanted the best possible outcome for me. She is well thought of in the hospital and I now know why. Her care, time and and effort to do the best for her patients is over and above. I honestly can not thank her enough for what she has done for me.
Along with Ms Quinn she works with her colleague Mr Cheung. Together they make up what I think is the dream team of surgeons. Together they worked on my surgery to remove a tumour from the outside of my stomach. They spent hours looking for the primary tumour, I was totally flabbergasted at the effort, care and attention they had both taken.
I cannot put into words what these two amazing people have done for me. They have gave me the best gift which is hope, I don’t know what the future holds but I am 100% certain I am going to live my life to the full because of Ms Quinn and Mr Cheung.
Thank you.
