Our deeply loved grandad/dad was admitted to ICU unexpectedly at the weekend. Heartbreakingly he took a turn for the worse and became severely ill. The doctor and medical staff tried extensively to preserve life and explained clearly, calmly and in a caring manner the heart breaking news that his life could not be saved. They gave us no false hope they were clear throughout about the severity of illness but continued to treat him as the proud successful man he has always been. They treated him with the upmost dignity. The staff especially nurse Michelle comforted our family and met each member of our families individual needs. She is an angel she made such a traumatic experience that less scary. We were able to leave his body knowing that she would treat him with the up most care and dignity. We can not thank the staff in ICU enough for all you did and for not only caring for him with dignity but also for caring for us with dignity too.
