The dental experience by clinicians has been excellent. However the administration leaves a lot to be desired. I was informed that an MRI scan would be arranged for me at the QE. Owing to Covid19 the appointment at the QE (following my dental appointment in March) took till July to be received. I attended on 28 July at the QE but instead of an MRI scan I was given a CT Scan. I queried this but was told that I would be seen at the Maxifacial clinic at QE. I tried to explain that the request had been made by my clinician at the Dental Hospital and that I thought I was having an MRI but to no avail. I have now found out that no details of the scan from QE has been forwarded to the Dental Hospital because they are unable to receive it. In any case if I was to have a CT scan I could have had it at the Dental Hospital and thus avoided leaving my home during lockdown with a vulnerable husband and having to travel by train. My NHS dentist has not received the scan.
