I had surgery on the 9th of September for Excision of a lipoma. The care i received in all the departments was excellent. Could not have asked for better. From the time of admission at 11am in the Croydon Elective Centre. After i was checked in a nurse took me for observation. The nurse was very professional and explained everything to me. Then members the surgical and anaesthetic team explained to me what was going to happen They were very professional. The consultant then saw me and explained everything to me. He was very professional. After a few minutes i was asked to get changed and be taken to the theatre. Here the team again explained everything to me. This was between 1 and 1.15pm. I remember waking up around 3.30pm in the recovery room. I was then moved to Queens 1 where i was offered water some tea and food. I was observed regularly. I was dischsrged at 5.15 when i was escorted to meet my wife at the entrance of the Croydon Elective centre. The care I received was excellent from the team in Croydon Elective Centre, the theatre team and Queens one. I could not have asked for better care or got better care privately. The staff in all the three departments were very professional, polite and courteous. always attending the patients with a smile. The NHS is the jewel of Britain anbd it is the frontline staff nurses and doctors who make that happen not the management who have created too much bureaucracy eating the funds which could be used for patient care.
"Great care."
