"Poor patient experience"

About: Manor Hospital

My dad injured his leg at work today and was taken to A&E as he can’t walk on it. Was seen quickly in A&E and the they suspect a badly torn muscle but need a scan to confirm. They have told him he is bleeding in his calf but again need a scan to confirm. He has sat, in agony, for 2 hours waiting for his scan only to hold they are too busy and will not be doing it today and will call him as soon as they can fit him in. He has been sent home with the advice to take paracetamol and rest. Surely when you go to A&E after an accident you should not be sent home until it is absolutely clear what has happened and with the correct medical treatment. His leg is now left to get worse and leave him off work. I will now be taking him to Wolverhampton to get better care and his scan.
