I think I was probably the most nervous patient the staff in Endoscopy have ever seen, but I can't thank them enough for making me feel so relaxed from the moment I entered the department. Every member of staff was professional, friendly and understanding. Their attitude made such a huge difference in helping me cope with my anxiety. They explained everything very clearly so I understood exactly what was happening and this helped me relax at every stage of my visit. I was so stressed that sadly I can't remember the names of the people I came in contact with, but each one really made a difference to my experience.

Thank you so much for taking the time and trouble to post your comments. I am delighted to hear that the experience was so much less worrying than you feared. These examinations are often necessary but without the right compassionate and reassuring care can be rather frightening. I am so pleased to hear that the team managed to help you to relax and get you through your procedure.

I will forward your comments on to the team in Endoscopy. They are always gratefully appreciated by the staff. It's good to know that although they nurse hundreds of patients through these procedures each week, they are still able to treat everyone as an individual and with real care.
