I was diagnosed with Tarlov Cysts 9 months ago. One appears to be symptomatic and is quite large. My GP has not taken me seriously and I have been forced to pay privately for imaging and advice from spinal Neurosurgeons. One has requested that I be referred to his NHS clinic in London for further tests and has written to my GP. However, as I live in the North West, a different pct it has been blocked. There is no other expert available within the PCT area. Tarlov Cysts can cause even further problems if they are left. I feel my GP is not acting in my interest at all. Very dismissive.
