"Impossible to contact them!"

About: Bellbrooke Surgery

I understand that GPs are stretched during the Coronavirus pandemic but... how do you actually book an appointment, get information etc. Spent over 2 hours trying to get through to the practice just for it to relay the recorded message over and over and then cut off. After 12 - 15 attempts I decided to walk to the GPs, and after waiting in the queue I eventually got to the front of the line and was told that they could not do anything because I have made an appointment and told to ring first... Do you see my problem???

Thanks for the feedback and your point is entirely valid as demand is so high right now that our phone line are continuously busy. We are moving as many of our services online as possible to reduce the telephone traffic and finding new ways to deliver services where we can for the same reason but this is a problem that isn't going to go away throughout the winter. Try the online e-consult service via our website to book an appointment or register for our standard online services where all our telephone appointments are bookable online. We have taken a decision to not transact appointment booking and other services at the front door to minimise the time any patient spends interacting face to face with us and try to keep queues down outside as these are considered to be the highest risk element of our business right now. This is for the understandable safety of our patients and staff and in the current climate is unlikely to change for the foreseeable future. Thanks for the feedback and sorry you've found this difficult
