I have required medical attention five times in the past year all relating to my mental health and/or some form of physical injury as a result of my mental health. A& E have been fantastic each time caring for me, truly listening to me and being seen quickly. I have been in other wards including HDU and ward 4, all of which the staff have been great and really made me feel like I’m okay and I’m safe with them.
The outpatient department at pluscarden clinic have been unreal in their support - there is always someone to speak to if it’s a query or I’m in a crisis situation. I see a lot of negative experiences around adult mental health services but I cannot relate. The support and service I am receiving meets my needs and is helpful in supporting my recovery journey and living a safe life.
