"Laughter & humour for Well-being course"

About: Inclusion Recovery College Thurrock

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I was on this online course in July 2020 & I enjoyed the whole course. I have found it really helpful. I think, it is an excellent way and a wonderful idea to cope with stress and other difficulties and just laugh whenever we feel we need this to make us feel better and raise our mood. It costs nothing. It was a great course! I am appreciative. Thank you very much. I recommend it for others.

HI Recovery College student,

So pleased you enjoyed this course and found it helpful! It certainly is one of our favourites to deliver as we do love a good giggle in Inclusion Recovery College. When you look at the science behind laughter and the benefits to our well-being and connection with others, it really brings home the message of a simple, free intervention available to us all.

Have you managed to plan your daily DOSE (Dopamine, Oxytocin, Serotonin & Epinephrine) of laughter? Just 10 min of your favourite comedian, show, video or funny pictures, can help shift your perspective.

If so, let us hear about it and we can add the story to our Recovery College Magazine.

Take care,
