"VNUS procedure"

About: Omagh Primary Care Complex / Outpatients

(as the patient),

I had been waiting for two years for a VNUS procedure under general anesthetic. My main reason for general anesthetic is because I get mentally worked up about what’s going to happen and anxiety takes over to the stage that I feel I’m going to faint. My consultant surgeon Mr Mzimba assured me that local anesthetic was sufficient and that I would hardly feel anything. I had the procedure done in about 45 minutes and was back to work in two days. Many thanks to Mr Mzimba and the excellent team of nurses in day procedure at Omagh hospital

encourage people to share their experiences of health and social care, what matters to you, what you particularly liked or disliked so that we can share with the relevant department, and staff .

Hello Joe2564

I am delighted that you have chosen to share your positive experience. It is very much appreciated and welcomed by staff.

Just to let you know that I have spoken to the Theatre Services Manager who has forwarded your kind comments to Mr Mzimba and the nurses within the Unit at Omagh Hospital.

Best wishes

Vi Gray
