"Breastfeeding Support"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Maternity unit

(as the patient),

My daughter is two weeks old and I have found breastfeeding more of a challenge this time around.   My health visitor arranged an appointment for some extra breastfeeding support and I cannot praise it highly enough.   Elaine was so helpful - she observed us and gave me lots of support to get the latch just right.   She had great information and tips to help us in the future and encouraged me to get more help if we needed it.   I left feeling more confident and comfortable.   Great experience!

Dear HJM27

Congratulations on the birth of your little girl. Such an exciting time for all of the family.

It is great to hear that your breastfeeding is now going well. It is amazing how different it can be from baby to baby so getting some extra help as well as some hints and tips can make all the difference in getting you over those early hurdles.

Elaine and the team are always happy to give extra support where needed. I will make sure Elaine sees your posting as I know she will be delighted that she helped boost your confidence with her little tips and made it a great experience.

I hope things continue to go well for you and please don’t hesitate to seek more help if needed. I am sure big brother/sister will be giving you lots of help too!

With best wishes

Gail
