When I was 18 weeks pregnant I had to have major surgery to remove a very large ovarian cysts! As you can imagine I was extremely nervous but I just want to thank Dr Glenn and all his team that I came into contact with that day.
After the surgery I was brought in to have my little girl she was 5 weeks early, I would like to thank all the maternity team and Dr Steele for the safe delivery of my little girl. My daughter was then taken to neonatal due her sugars dropping so low, I was devastated everything just felt like it was going wrong - the maternity team and the neonatal staff were amazing reassuring me and taking me down at anytime to see my little girl.
Dealing with a diagnosis of Type 1 diabetes at the same time was hard, I looked around and everyone else just seemed to have such an easy time. The memories my partner and I had from the neonatal are ones we will cherish for a lifetime the staff are amazing in there. Thank you to all the amazing staff of the Ulster hospital just know you’ve changed our lives and we thank you so much for bringing our daughter into the world so safely even when everything was against us! We have a happy and healthy 8 month old.
