"The importance of continuity"

About: Whiteabbey Hospital / Day Surgery

(as the patient),

Can I please express my thanks to the podiatrists at Antrim, Whiteabbey Hospital and Clinic.

For the past six months they have worked tirelessly to rectify the problems with my feet.

I single out Brenda and Sarah, they have been terrific and I've been fortunate.

Brenda is patient, caring, knowledgable and supportive.

Throughout she has always explained and taken me along and made me feel that I matter. To her the patient is important. Having continuous care, mainly from her, has been helpful.

To often organisations forget the importance of the individuals they employ and the impact of interactions with clients. Being shunted backwards and forwards between care providers makes you feel like a nuisance and is counter productive. She has managed, watched and explained things.

Your staff are brilliant.

Dear Happy Feet Walking

My name is Suzanne and I am the Interim Director of Nursing and User Experience in the Northern Trust.

I am delighted to hear that Brenda and Sarah were 'terrific' and that you found their approach both reassuring and helpful. Your kind words will mean a great deal to this team and I thank you very much for taking the time to tell us about your positive experience.

I will share your story with the Podiatry Services Manager and Allied Health Professions Lead and I know that they will be really pleased to receive your feedback
