I am delighted with my new eye! I can see. I’ve had minimal discomfort. I was looked after by a very kind efficient and experienced nurse. I spoke to all relevant staff who ensured that I was listened to understood the procedure and any concerns addressed. The surgery was brilliant and the effects of the anaesthetic minimal. The nursing care was superb. I was offered iced water to sip as I came round from the anaesthetic. My allocated nurse also made me toast and marmalade as I recovered. Really and truly medical care doesn’t get better than this. I can’t wait to have the other eye done. A big thank you to all staff! Thank you!

Thank you for taking the time to share your story with us, I was so glad to see you are delighted with your new eye! It was lovely to read about how you were cared for by a very kind, experienced nurse and that all the staff you spoke to made sure that you understood the procedure you were having.
