"Step Up Acorn and Gaumont Surgery"

About: The Acorn & Gaumont House Surgery

I am usually happy with my practice, but last 6 visits since the lockdown has been disastrous. I have been in constant pain with both feet, and it has escalated to my whole body and joints in pain. My blood test shows abnormal reading. I donot have sickle cell disease but that's what it feel like. I have a friend who does and is usually hospitalized to control this kind of pain. When I phone I am triage and instead of speaking to a doctor, I speak to a pharmacist or a clinical nurse, and when I ask additional questions about my health they are unable to answer me. I am blocked from speaking to my GP, because those who triage you might not feel your condition has high priority. When your feeling the pain you want help to relieve the pain as this pain is so debilitating, and if a patient calls a doctor over 6 to 8 times for the same

problem, surely it needs further intervention, but you cannot get seen. I appreciate the hard work you have been doing as a practice and you are still doing, during these difficult times. But when you are in constant pain and no suggestion offered, you feel disappointed with the service offered. Come on Acorn and Gaumont Surgery it's time you step up your pace, your patient are still getting ill despite the COVID19 pandemic, this will affect us for years to come if not addressed now.
