"Being abandoned"

About: Inclusion Visions Thurrock (Drug & Alcohol Recovery Service)

(as the patient),

My mother didn't want me and was an alcoholic she used to harm herself.

My dad had to care for me at age 6. He beat me up everyday, he married a woman who tried to hurt me really badly, after failing he moved about this country and I went to 13 different schools.

I ran away age 13 ...

It's made me feel like I don't know where I belong I get my words muddled up so I feel like I'm not taken seriously in assessments, I forget some stuff as there's loads more than this.

Dear whisperjc97

It makes complete sense that you feel like you don't know where you belong after the many traumatic experiences you describe in your story. It must be very difficult for you when you are trying to communicate and getting your words muddled up as you describe.

I am not sure from your story if you have been assessed or are wanting to be assessed, but either way I would be very happy for you to contact me on 0300 303 1018 to discuss any issues relating to this and to support you with ensuring your needs are communicated and assessed so that you get the most appropriate help for you.

Thank you for your honesty and I hope to hear from you soon

Emer

Update posted by whisperjc97 (the patient)

This response is actually really appreciated finally someone has taken notice of what I have said.

I have had a few assesments but I don't seem to be getting any were,I suffer with severe anxiety and depression. Some days I find it it hard to go out in fact I don't go out.

Such a tiny bit of my story that I have told and someone has recognised the the hardship of being dragged around from school to school so thank you very much.
