About: University Hospital Wishaw / General Medicine (Wards 5 & 8)

(as a relative),

I would like to thank Charge Nurse Leanne and all her staff in Ward 5 for my husband’s  recent excellent care. He came to your ward from HDU where he had been very ill, and got settled.  Special thanks to Staff Nurses  Emma  and Lana who took time to come and  explain any changes in his care and gave me a  progress report when I visited. I felt comfortable and reassured that he was well being cared for,  when something as simple as his fluid balance chart was filled in properly.

All grades of staff were professional and approachable,  As a Staff Member myself within the Hospital,  I have nothing but admiration for this Ward where you all do an amazing job. Keep up your excellent standards.

I am sorry to hear that your husband has been so unwell and required high dependency care before transfer to ward 5.

Thank you for taking the time to post your experience of his care and that you have found this to be caring, professional and approachable.
