"Rude staff, terrible experience"

The review below mine is like I wrote it. And I’m posting a day later. Obviously another family went through the same experience as us. Which shows this place is in need of a full inspection. And needs ALOT OF WORK. And a lot of staff members should be disciplined and even sacked. I’ve had more respect and kindness ordering a takeaway.

This place is supposed to be looking after patients with mental health needs. Many in crisis.

(Delivering care to the patient as prescribed by the individual care plans and liaising with family members as appropriate.) job description.

I do not expect to call up and have an argument with members of staff, for just asking about a family member. On two occasions! Two members of my family had the same problem.

Attitude, people who don’t speak English and have to put me through to another rude member of staff.

No empathy, no sensitivity. No nothing.

I get “well why don’t you take two hours out of your schedule and come down here”

“I’ve had enough of you “

“You are on loud speaker everyone can hear you”

“ we can’t discuss over the phone” when I’ve spoken to a matron two days before and confirmed my identity. (I was phoning up to ask about a transfer)

I was talked over, hung up on, people laughing in the background. UNACCEPTABLE!

We are in the middle of a pandemic and this is the treatment family members are getting for asking the welfare of their relatives disgusting.

Then today I get a call basically saying nothing is going to be done, and how the member of staff has said sorry.

Are you kidding?

During a scary, horrible time for Our family. And being 2 hours away, and having that rudeness and abuse is disgusting. And just added to my stress and worry.

The more people that report this place the better.

Luckily my family member is out, and recovering on another ward.

This place needs a review ASAP!!

I will also be taking it to everyone, who will listen!!
