The Health Inclusion Team is a specialist team of nurses working with families with children aged 0 to 19 and young adults who are living in temporary accommodation, gypsies and travellers, victims of domestic abuse, trafficking, asylum seekers or refugees.
As a service HIT has historically struggled to gain service user and carer feedback. Due to the pandemic team had to replace the majority of their face to face contacts with telephone consultations. The narrative below is a summary of feedback that was individually collected.
Overall, my experience of Health Inclusion Team was very good because they always have good, helpful answers to any questions asked. The telephone appointments have been good and instructions were easy to understand- just a good service. I felt supported and they called me during an illness to check in. It’s an excellent service and although I didn’t have a visit during the pandemic I felt that nothing could have been done better,.
