"Exemplary service"

I found the service to be accessible and preferred the self - referral method of access. I was offered treatment at a local venue and received text reminders of my appointments every week. The people I spoke to on the telephone were friendly, understanding and non-judgemental and I found their organisation and communication skills to be exemplary. This is very helpful at the beginning of therapy, when one's own abilities can be somewhat diminished by their condition. I started therapy in February 2020 and, after a short hiatus due to Covid 19, was able to resume treatment in my own home via video link. This flexibility facilitated completion of my therapy. I cannot praise my therapist enough. He guided me through recovery with skill, compassion and empathy and he is truly a credit to your organisation. I am in a very different place today, compared to 6 months ago and this is wholly because of the treatment I received from this service. I cannot thank you enough.

Self-referral, we hope breaks down barriers to access, and doing it online as well as by telephone has helped more people. Its lovely to hear the person you had contact with was clearly skilled and had plenty of compassion and empathy, as these things are really important to us! The challenges of working remotely have been hard all round but it’s great to hear that this transition went well for you!
