"No midwife"

About: Queen Charlotte's Hospital

Had my booking in appointment today at 12 weeks. Had my scan, bloods, everybody was lovely and the hospital felt very safe, but I was told I couldn’t see the midwife today! Only after pushing was I told that there actually wasn’t a midwife there to see me because of staff shortages. Understandable, but instead of rebooking for tomorrow, or next week, or some other time when the midwife is available, I was given an appointment in December! So the first time I will see the midwife will be when I will be almost 7 months pregnant?!? Why was I not given a sooner appointment. How do I ask all the dozens or questions that I wrote down over the last three months. My mental health is suffering and was hoping to talk to the midwife at our first appointment, but instead I have to wait to December?! Delays are perfectly understandable right now, but not to see a midwife until I am 7 months pregnant with my first child seems crazy and unacceptable, totally unhelpful and now I have no info/answers to any of my questions that I have already been waiting weeks to ask
