"No access to repeat prescription medication"

About: Nems Platform One Practice

(as a service user),

Morning.

Can somebody fill me in on why, every month, I have to phone reception up and beg for my mental health medication?

I’m not even being assessed by a medical professional. I have to order it from reception after enduring a lengthy phone call which includes listening to the same old COVID announcement followed by being put on hold for however long. (Queue position number 4,5,6 etc).

I cannot see any point to this and nobody has explained to me why i have to do this.

Wouldn’t it be easier to put me on an automatic repeat prescription like my previous surgery did?

It feels like I’m a slave to the NHS but I’m nobody’s slave so I’d rather go without my medication than beg.

Instead of helping my mental health, you are adversely affecting it and frustrating me to the point where I’m committing behavioural self-harm.

Please clarify the above reason why I am not on a repeat prescription.

It seems that the modern NHS, platform 1 in particular, are more interested in budgets, spreadsheets, statistics, diversity quotas and money more than they are interested in people’s health.
