I write this with great disappointment in the care my newborn and I have received from this practice.
The care I received did not appear to be patient centred or show concern for my newborn. My newborn was suffering from breathing difficulties, and I requested to speaker to a G.P.This was refused by the Receptionist, and advised to contact the Health Visitor. The Health Visitor advised to wait a further 4 days and this would be followed up on a routine planned visit. I expressed my concerns given my new born was suffering from breathing difficulties.
I advised the HV I was becoming increasingly more anxious regarding the care of my newborn.
The Health Visitor advised contact would be made to the Practice Manager.
A Practice Manager contacted me, and advised a G.P could not help.
Advised to go to A/E , however given this was in the hours of the practice being opened this appeared unreasonable given my concerns of taking a new born to hospital in the current COVID climate.
At this point I was extremely anxious for the welfare of my newborn.
I asked for their name as I was going to raise my concerns.
They hung up the phone without any warning .
I am extremely disappointed in the care of my newborn.
My newborn still has breathing difficulties which have not been resolved.
As mother I only wish for the best care for my child and I have clearly not received this.
I would request the Health board review my concerns, so no other parent has to go through my poor experience.
"Poor patient centred care"
