A found a lump in my armpit and was referred for an ultrasound scan by my Consultant (from another specialty) however the radiology Dept wrote back to her to say I would benefit from a full review from the breast team. Within a couple of weeks I had a letter explaining the above an appt arrived for the breast team a few days later.
When I attended the appt I was seen, examined, ultrasound scanned and informed of my results and out of the clinic within half an hour.
The nurse Sarah, Cons Jane, the HCA (apologies I forgot your name) the Cons radiographer Dr Sim were so efficient and supportive as I was worried about attending the appt.
The clinic was also set up to abide to the current COVID restrictions.
