"Giving birth"

About: Ninewells Hospital / Maternity care

(as a service user),

It was awful. I was treated like a child and not told what was going on or what concerns midwives had. I was kept in the dark, not allowed to eat or drink 'in case I needed a section' without being told why I might. Your staff didn't communicate with me in any meaningful way, with the exception of the anaesthetist.

6 months on I am still suffering flashbacks and nightmares. I am scared of having a smear test in case it triggers it.

You failed me.
