"3 years ago I had an operation for mouth cancer"

About: Northwick Park Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

3 years ago I had an operation for mouth cancer., resulting in the removal of the rest of my lower teeth. rg bottom teeth.. I was Offered inplants

I did wear dentures but the bottom denture refused to hold tight because it had nothing to grip onto. I was Offered implants which I accepted immediately. It would take a good couple of months to prepare for, my Husband was told.

That was 2 years ago 3 pre op appointments and 1 cancelled operation.

I too had attended appointments with the hospital dentist who made me both top and bottom new dentures. What an absolute waste of good time and money spent on this. It costs us at least £5.00 every visit because although I am registered disabled and have a blue badge  Parking is always a problem  not to mention cost to the NHS for  dentures and  I cannot even get in my mouth. No I  do not  have this virus', having only left the house twice in the last 4 months or so. Once to the GP and once to  the local hospital.

I was promised a telephone appointment when my last appointment was  cancelled  but oh no, neither house phone  nor mobile rung. I emailed a complaint only to receive a letter informing me that the call had been made?? What number not mine.

New phone appointment for October,  MY Condition is so bad now with not being able to eat much at all that if nothing is done to rectify  this  I will Not be around for anyone to worry about. My mouth is so sore  now that I cannot eat much at all, no saliva in my mouth only soreness, you can't imagine,  Watching the news,  patients are not having cancer operations for fear of this Virus.  I do not even get a choice..!!! .

Ironically a couple of months ago along with my sewing group we were. Making Scrub bags and. other items for our  Local N H S hospital  I do hope that nobody else has to suffer in this way.
