"Alcohol Home detox"

About: CGL Nottinghamshire

(as a service user),

Left home 16 worked in horse racing drinking sociable but started drinking heavy when I started doing cocaine.

went to America at 30 new York and Florida for 12years drinking a bottle of vodka every day. came back to racing in England by then alcohol dependent drinking before during and after work, got sacked for drinking

went home to Manchester started having panic attacks shaking sickness sweating depression went to detox 1week in Manchester - no good, came out drinking the same day

moved to Nottingham joined cgl was in trouble by this time couldn't sit in a meeting panic only time I'd stay was if I had 1/2 bottle. went to Park house Birmingham came out same again, drinking wasn't ready in my head. then after that Park house again followed by straight to rehab ley community oxford 6 months. came out great 23 months clean then one day out of the blue picked up 2bottles of vodka.

lockdown didn't help withen 3weeks in hospital 8days straight back to were I started this time couldn't walk with in a week started back on 2 miniatures of vodka end of the week a litre a day. it was killing me.

then cgl gave me a home detox under supervision of my brother and detox coordinator j.  my life was a mess couldn't control myself this has gave me another chance I must take and beat these demons which I'm determined to do other wise the 2and option will be death and I'm not ready for that as they is so much more to do in life. Things are so much easier without drink in my life
