Extremely professional doctors and nurses that took care of my wife until the baby was born. Then she with the baby was transferred to Iffeny ward. Now, I appreciate that they have put some control measures in place I.e. visiting hours are 1300-1400hrs and 1700- 1800hrs, which is fine in this strange situation of COVID-19, albeit how this is doing good is questionable. Lazy receptionists who do not care about the bell ringing and ringing, not going to the mums who can’t even walk because they just had an Operation, babies left helpless because dads are not allowed in. I don’t mind not being in there but there should be enough substitute service so that the mum and the babies will be fine. Those carers visiting every 4 hours is not enough; may be compromising the safety of those mothers and babies. Another thing that I want to point out is that the rooms are like sauna. Today it was 38 degrees outside and worried and I took a room thermometer just to find out 37 degrees inside. There was a fan but it was blowing hot air inside the room. Is that an acceptable level or should there be other control measures in place. Who carried out the Risk Assessment? What about the safety of the child and mother? What happens if they had heat exhaustion? Etc,.
For this reason, I was gravitated towards negativity, not the professional doctors and nurses but the rude and lazy receptionists and the poor service they provide and the condition of the rooms.
"Worrying conditions!"
