I attended Hairmyres for cataract and stent surgery to my left eye. I was nervous, but from the moment my son dropped me off at the door to be escorted to the waiting area all the staff were effective, efficient and friendly. The Covid regulations were exemplary. The offer of coffee and biscuits friendly. The interview with the surgical team carried out professionally and in a personal level. The trip to the operating theatre accompanied by a knowledgeable young theatre assistant did wonders for my confidence and lessening my nerves. The surgical team were wonderful patient with my sometimes failure to understand their requests. The after care and offer of a coffee and sandwich was well received.
Contacting my lift home and escorting me to the door completed the total care package.
May I offer my total thanks to all of the team who assisted me on this day.
Thank you one and all, you do a wonderful job in trying circumstances.
