"Problems ignored"

About: South Tyrone Hospital / Children’s Ambulatory Unit

(as a parent/guardian),

Nothing but parent blaming and no support for my suicidal teen. Teen's problems ignored and told it was their choice to self harm.

It felt like a waste of time and left with a child with more issues than they started with. And don't even bother to complain as they made it impossible for me to even access the complaints procedures, instead they turned it round and said I was the one in the wrong for disagreeing with 'professionals'

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us regarding the experience of your child/young person. I am so sorry to read that you felt there was no support. We would like to look into this in more detail and would be grateful if you could contact Shirley D at CAMHS 02838392112 so that she can arrange for a suitable time to discuss this with you.

Kind regards
